Hello Everybody,
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We went to 3 and a half dinners, and they were all wonderful, and I felt like I was home. Before this last week, I thought it would be a lonely one with Thanksgiving and all, but this week we had more dinners than ever with nonmembers and we had a great time. We felt like we were back at home and it was great.
On Thanksgiving, we went to our neighbors house across the street and had a big dinner. The next day we went to a lesson and a less active member had a dinner waiting for us so that was the half. On Saturday we had dinners back to back. One was at 3 and the next one was at 6. The dinner at 6 was with a lady who came from the Philipines, but lives here. She made a lovely dinner with fish and good meat stuff. We were stuffed beyond all belief.
We were sort of slow with lessons though this week. People were also less receptive and everything was a little slow, but that will change next week.
Well, I still have the same companion, Elder Barber. He is from Kaysville, UT. He came out on July 1st. Yeah we get along, and hes a great guy. He is a little OCD but have have such a good time together and we made an amazing hot chocolate recipe. President told me in our interview that he is on of the best in the mission. It's hard to send you some of our investigators emails because they don't have computers. No one here has a computer, it's really weird.
The lake is frozen over here and it will be ice-fishing season soon.Oh, and it snowed here. We have 1 foot of snow. But it warmed up to 25 degrees this whole week. It may seem cold, but its warmer than normal and we like it! Have a good week everybody,
Merry Christmas!
Love Elder Anderson

I remember having 3 dinner appointments for Christmas one year as a missionary! It really makes your holiday!
ReplyDeleteElder Anderson,
ReplyDeleteI just saw the link to your mission blog, and checked out your letter about Thanksgiving. When I saw your picture, I couldn't believe it. Elder Spencer Davis is in the picture with you, that is one of Nate's good friends growing up here in Salem. Next time you see him, tell him "hello" for us. Glad to hear that you are doing so well. I told Nate about your mission president allowing you to go fishing with investigators...needless to say, Nate was jealous!
